Gripfast are proud to have been involved with the Merrylands Preschool project, where the works saw to deliver an upgraded space to be enjoyed by the staff, students and the Merrylands preschool community.

The project scope included the refurbishment and reconfiguration of an existing building to transform it into a modernised space which suited the changing needs of a preschool environment and allow for a desperately needed increase in enrolment capacity, to allow more families to join the Merrylands community. The classroom space was revitalised through a new layout, creating a new bathroom space and formally creating a new teaching area through the inclusion of new vinyl and carpet flooring. Additionally, the space was also repainted and new acoustic boarding and joinery was installed to bring light into the space and make it more functional. Another building at the Preschool complex was also upgraded to include new office spaces and a new PWD bathroom to create modernised spaces for the staff as well as the students. Connecting the refurbished internal spaces, was an upgraded external play area. The play area works saw the complete rework of this vital connection space, replacing the existing ground with a new softfall play area which would encourage fun but safe play in the outdoors. The softfall play area also integrated a new sand pit and garden beds to encourage outdoor play and allow students to undertake the process of planting new plants and seeing them grow. In relation to this the works to the external space also saw the development of a new storage shed for staff use. These works were supported by a fantastic client team who Gripfast are grateful to have worked with at every step of the way.

The works to Merrylands have now not only created an exciting outdoor space and a revitalised indoor learning area and staff rooms, but has also allowed the fantastic Merrylands community to grow and connect with more families.
