As we move through another busy and rewarding year at Gripfast Consulting, I wanted to share a personal update with our clients, partners, and broader network. I am currently seven months pregnant with my first child and will soon be commencing six months of maternity leave.
This moment feels both exciting and reflective. Over recent years, Gripfast has continued to grow in capability, reputation, and scale. We have had the privilege of delivering increasingly complex projects, strengthening long-standing client relationships, and welcoming exceptional new people into the business. Watching the organisation mature — not only operationally but culturally — has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my role as Chief Operating Officer.
One of the things I am most proud of is the strength of our leadership team and the collaborative environment we have built together. Gripfast has never been dependent on a single individual; instead, our success comes from shared ownership, accountability, and trust across the team. As I step away temporarily, I do so with complete confidence that our projects, clients, and people will continue to be supported at the high standard we collectively expect.
During my maternity leave, our senior leadership team will assume responsibility for day-to-day operational leadership, supported by the broader project delivery teams who consistently demonstrate professionalism, care, and technical excellence. Importantly, there will be no change to our commitment to clients — continuity, responsiveness, and quality outcomes remain central to how we operate.
On a personal level, preparing to become a parent has offered a new perspective on leadership and balance. The consulting and construction industries are fast-paced environments, and I am grateful to be part of a business that genuinely supports flexibility, wellbeing, and sustainable careers. I hope that taking this time also reinforces Gripfast’s belief that strong organisations make space for life’s significant moments while continuing to thrive professionally.
Although I will be stepping back from daily operations for this period, my commitment to Gripfast’s long-term vision remains unchanged. I look forward to returning later in the year refreshed, inspired, and ready to contribute to the next chapter of the business as we continue to expand our services, partnerships, and opportunities.
Thank you to our clients, collaborators, and colleagues for your ongoing trust and support — both professionally and personally. It has meant a great deal throughout this transition. I look forward to staying connected and, in due course, introducing Gripfast’s newest (and smallest) future team member.
